Recently, Google has made it easier for users to use and save credentials on their Google accounts in Chrome, even if they choose not to use Chrome’s synchronization service. The company announced that there will be new features in the Android and desktop versions of the browser that will allow users to access the information of their Google account more easily.
Starting from Android, it will soon become possible to log in to the website with the login information saved on the Google account. Therefore, if a user has a Google account connected to a mobile phone, he can log in with it, instead of syncing login information through Chrome. Soon, you can use the payment method stored in the Google account to make online payments on Chrome, use biometric authentication or the CVC of the credit card to confirm the purchase. This feature roller out to Chrome on the desktop version of last year.

On the desktop version, the password management function has been improved. When registering an account on the website, the system will prompt the user to save the password on the device or onto their Google account, so that the user can use the password anywhere. Again, this will work without turning on the Chrome sync. These will come in the next couple of months, so you may not see them right away. In addition, Google will make Chrome's password generator available to more users.
If you don’t need to enable synchronization for all features of Chrome, then these new features may be useful, but it won’t have much impact on privacy protection, because users can still save this information with Google. However, if you find it useful, you may want to keep an eye out in case these features go live.
