And in the 1.14 snapshot, the first information of redstone is the update of dispenser.

In the new version, if you put shears in a dispenser, it can shear sheep.

With this feature, we can create an automatic wool machine!

First, get wool collector and hopper (with chest and sorter) prepared.

Second, make a piston wheel.

Third, place the dispenser as the following picture, and attach sorter and chest at the top of the dispenser to add shears.

And then make a grass block update detector.

Finally, make the sheep trapped at the certain place show in the following picture:

How it works: when the sheep is eating grass, the grass blocks will turn into dirt blocks, which will be detected by the detector. The detector will release redstone energy to push the piston, and the dirt block will be replaced by a grass block.

When it comes to the second piston, the dispenser will be filled up with energy, and sheep will be sheared. Wool will be collected by the hopper, and the last two piston will move. That’s the whole procedures of one cycle.
