Now let’s take a look at the German mobile game market index for February, Chat Master, Coin Master and Brawl Stars are in the top three respectively. Also, in the top 10 are State of Survival, PUBG Mobile, Lords Mobile and Genshin.

Overview of the European and US markets

The US is the world’s second largest game market, while Germany is Europe’s (5th in the world) largest.

There are approximately 179 million gamers in the US, of which around 79% have paid for a game in the last six months. The US mobile gamers have a high capability to pay for games, with the ARPU expected to reach $72.94 this year, coming in the third after Japan and South Korea in terms of payment rate.

Looking at these two US charts, gambling, strategy and casual games are the favorites of US players while action games and RPGs still have their users. The gambling category in particular, owns 7 or 8 regular seats in the App Store US top 30 bestsellers, surpassing all other game types. With more and more offline users moving to mobile games, there is still significant revenue growth potential for US gambling game in the future.

The German market currently accounts for over 2% of the global market, with its size reaching $5,721 million in 2019.

With a gaming population of 44.3 million and around 21 million mobile game players, Germany maintains a growth rate of 8.1%.
