HUAWEI Mate 40 Series are Launched, Priced at EUR 899

HUAWEI Mate 40 series are officially launched in the global online launch event, with a starting price of EUR 899.

HUAWEI Mate 40 8+128: EUR 899.

HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro 8+256: EUR 1199.

HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro+ 12+256: EUR 1399.

HUAWEI Mate 40 RS Porsche Design 12+512: EUR 2295.

The appearance of Mate 40 series continues to be axis symmetry, while camera layout appears to be a star ring. According to Yu Chengdong, CEO of HUAWEI Consumer Business Group, the new smartphone is equipped with Kirin 9000 5G 5 nm SoC, the best chip in HUAWEI’s history.

HUAWEI’s leading 5nm chip technology integrates 15.3 billion transistors in one chip, which is 30% more than Apple A14. And its 8-core CUP, 24-core CPU and NPU (with higher computing power) are 2.4 times faster than other similar products in the market. Apart from Kirin 9000, HUAWEI also introduced its Kirin 9000E chip in the launch event, and both chips are high-quality 5G SoC configurations.

Mate 40 is with 6.5-inch curved OLED display while Mate 40 Pro with 6.76-inch one. Their refresh rate is 90 HZ.

It should be noted that Mate 40’s 66W SuperCharge and 50W wireless charge will enable a high speed, and Mate 40 Pro’s 4400mAh battery will provide with a longer battery life.

Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro are both offered in 2 outer layers and 5 colors, while Pro+ in ceramic white and ceramic black.

For cameras, Mate 40 is equipped with a 4-camera set, with 50 MP ultra-wide main camera, 16 MP cine camera, 8 MP telephoto camera, and has a 5x optical zoom.

Mate 40 Pro is with 50 MP ultra-wide main camera, 20 MP cine camera, 12 MP telephoto camera, and has a 7x optical zoom.

Mate 40 Pro+ is equipped with a 5-camera set, with 50 MP ultra-wide main camera, 20 MP ultra-wide camera, 10x periscope zoom, 12 MP telephoto camera, TOF depth sensor, and has a 17x optical zoom.

In addition, Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+ are equipped with an ultra-wide front camera. The front camera and the rear camera set could be regarded as a double-ultra-wide camera set that satisfies consumers’ photo-shooting needs in different situations.

To fix distortion in ultra-wide camera, HUAWEI Mate 40 series is also configurated with HUAWEI’s first restoration algorithm for curved cameras.
